Washington Island Bike Ride-hosted by the Wickham’s
May is fast approaching and June will be here before you know it. The Wickham’s are leading a spring trip to Washington Island. Grab your bike and your camera and come along!

Cost: $19.00-Ferry ride round trip per person with bike
All members and non-members of all abilities are welcome
For those who want to car pool, the plan is to meet at the Wickham’s at 8 a.m., we will have some pre-trip snacks and will leave no later than 8:45 a.m.

We will car pool up to North Port and hop on the 10 a.m. ferry over to the island. The plan is to come back on the 3 p.m. ferry.
On the drive back for those who want to, we will be making a stop at the new tower in Peninsula State Park, if you do not have a State Park sticker you will need to buy a day pass for $8.00, for those older than 65 the cost is $3.00 a day.
Some of the attractions we will see are: School House beach, Nelsen’s Hall (where you can join the Bitters Club if you want), & Stavkirke Church and others.
I do not have the entire schedule worked out yet. This will be a leisurely bike ride, with no major hills, and sure to be a lot of fun.
Plan for cooler weather as the Island is surrounded by water and tends to be cooler than elsewhere.
